The Modern is closed Mondays and holidays, including New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.

From Friday,
May 25 through Sunday, September 2, the Modern offers free admission to to active-duty military personnel and their families (military ID holder and five immediate family members). Active-duty military include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and active-duty National Guard and active duty Reserve members. These visitors may simply show their military identification at the admission desk for complimentary tickets.
Inclement Weather Policy:
During inclement weather, the Museum will close to the public if the
Fort Worth Independent School District is closed.
Admission includes entrance to permanent collection exhibitions, all special and traveling exhibitions, and scheduled tours and gallery programs.
$10: General (13 to Adult)
$4: Students with ID and Seniors (60+)
Free: Children 12 and under
Free: Modern members

I bought this lamp so that I could use the lamp shade for my awesome Crystal lamp that has been screaming for a lamp shade for about 2 years now. (procrastinator? yes!) I forgot a before picture which makes me sad, but after cutting the cord out, removing the hardware, flipping the top gold part painting and gluing it all together this is what I have. It's my version of a decorative column. It was brass where it's now gold and cheap marble where its now white. Laundry detergent is not my choice of decor but I wantde to test out it's strength and there ya have it! I love it!
