The Magic FarmHouse by Jenny Schweigert

Jenny, aka, The Magic Mama, lives with her amazing husband, three crazy boys & three loyal dogs on an old farmstead in rural Illinois. The farmstead comes complete with a circa 1880‘s farmhouse & small hobby farm where the family raises chickens, steers, ducks & two pet goats. They strive to farm/garden frugally and operate as self-sufficiently as possible. On her blog http://www.themagicfarmhouse.com/, you’ll enjoy stories about raising boys, parenting, home renovations, living with Crohn’s disease/Ulcerative colitis and anemia; photography (check out more of her photography here), hunting, fishing, camping, working at her in-laws dairy farm and more.

As in many families, cancer has touched the lives of several friends and family members. She is a dedicated philanthropist, raising money for The Pancreatic Action Network, The Ronald McDonald House and The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Initially, blogging had two purposes-recording the happy, chaos often found around The Magic FarmHouse & “practice” as an aspiring writer. Today the blog reminds, encourages and inspires her and her readers to laugh more, love more and LIVE more.

Jenny is also a member of the Bloggers for Joplin campaign.
