Speaking from experience, personal prayer is a hard thing to do! People (including myself) get so caught up in their own sin's and earthly concerns they don't take the time to pray for themselves and their families because they can't wrap their minds around "The Power of Prayer". I have always loved prayer and believed in prayer but I just couldn't do my own prayers which I REALLY neeed. Rather than relying on my wonderful church, friends and family to pray for me and my family I finally say my own prayers and now I am really seeing God's work in my life!
I am finding new strength!
"Why should I pray? How do I pray? Does prayer even help?"
Want an answer?
God DOES bless them!
{Speak God into your friends life, through prayer or conversation, and God will bless them. Same to you!}
Numbers 6:22-27 (NIV)
The Priestly Blessing
22. The LORD said to Moses,
23. Tell Aaron and his sons,
This is how you are to bless the Israelites.
Say to them:
24. The LORD bless you and keep you;
25. The LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26. The LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.
27. So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.
The Children of Abraham
31. To those who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
32. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

This post is so powerful... How awesome is it that we can pray God's word in faith and watch it manifest into the lives of our families, freinds and ourselves. I am guilty of not spending time with God as I should. Most night I'm so tired or have 1 million other things on my mind once I start to either fall to sleep or find myself thinking about the other things.
ReplyDeleteIf you can blog daily, you can pray. It's just a matter of MAKING it happen. Like anything. If it's important to you, and it's something you think or feel you need to do, then make the time... spend the energy and get 'er done! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from the #UBP10.
