* District attorney had promised during his election campaign to reopen case
* Top suspect had made, then denied, statement connecting him to Etan, author said
Details from the CNN.com Story
I remember, a few times, seeing milk cartons with pictures of missing kids on them. I always had an eerie feeling seeing that and now I can't remember the last time I saw one.
I never knew how the milk carton ad began but apparently the first case of a missing child put on a milk carton was Etan. Etan who would be 37 now has never been found.
After receiving permission to walk two short blocks from his home to the bus stop where there was parent supervision, he was never seen alive again. That was May 25th, 1979.  District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. has reopened this case to hopefully solve the many unanswered questions and close this case.
