African Black Soap Review - Funktional Spa & Bath

                                                                              "Completely impressed"

I reviewed a "sample" of the African Black Soap from Funktional Spa. First I wanna say how surprised  I was to see the size of the "sample". Their prices are VERY affordable and if that's a sample I can only imagine the value in a normal order!!

The African Black Soap is a mix of dark brown and black in color.. and it has a soft spring smell.. I used it and so did the other adult in the house. He prepared me before taking a shower that iff he itched it was my fault lol..

I was completely surprised to hear him say he liked it when he got out..
Not in so many words but his actions were priceless.
He got out of the shower and said "feel", holding out his arm.. I was thinking, Oh no, whats wrong? He is so picky about his soaps, sensitive skin and it has to pass his 500 point test lol..
He was completely impressed!! He said "You feel how soft my skin is?" and then sniffing his arm and then making me sniff it he said smell.. Needless to say, I'm pretty sure he loved it.
(I wish I could have videotaped his response)

It took a long time to convince him to try natural soaps and I must say that is the best part about Funktional Spa products. They are all handmade and natural! I too loved that my skin was so soft after using this soap, no left over residue and it doesn't have an overpowering smell... Just so fresh and so clean!!

Funktional Spa offers multiple categories of handmade products and they are all made by a Wife and Husband team! Their story is awesome!!!

They even have some good, quality gag gifts too :) A great alternative to the box of viagra or skimpy lingerie others may never use.. Check out this hillarious soap

Check them out on twitter, blogspot and etsy.

Many Heros Away.. Quite a few heros I knew. I have had friends, family and friends of friends or spouses of my friends travel in war.. Every time I hear of yet again another Hero leave the U.S. coop it breaks my heart! But I know with faith and God on our side they will return home soon...

I was contemplating on what my first post for my birthday might be.. Then shortly after 12 Angela Roy shared a letter with me that she wrote to http://www.hugahero.com/ thanking them for their TWO custom Hug A Hero dolls. I knew right then, there could be no better post then this.
Angela Roy and Tina Tanguay of http://www.mommypr.com/ have a Hero Away..
Angela's hubby has been deployed since mid-2009 and due back mid-2010.
Tina's hubby was deployed today and due back mid-2010 as well.
Please keep their familys in your prayers and stop by Angela's blog post to read about the Hug A Hero Daddy Dolls Review..

Shimmery Stars, American Pride and Polka Dot Fun OH MY- Art Smock Review (Breyla.com)

American Pride runs full strength in my blood. I am all about the stars and stripes and fyi if I see that on a product it makes it more tempting to buy.. LOL When I was contacted to do a review of a product from http://www.breyla.com/ she asked what I would consider reviewing and my kids ages. That was it. I told her I couldn't pick between all the goodies and just send me something to suprise me! Featured to the left is my daughter doing her over the shoulder pose!
When I first opened it, I swear I just about fell in love!

From the post title you know I was sent a Children's Fabric Art Smock from http://www.breyla.com/.  As you can see it is blue.. (my favorite color FYI, if you can't tell by my site design) but my eyes were immediately drawn to the red, white and blue stripes pocket! Now mind you I had NO CLUE WHAT I WAS GETTING or what it was when I opened it.. Had I not gotten overly excited and read the paper she included I would have known what it was lol..
This really was a great surprise and such a treat for my kiddos.

They are made of comfortable cotton, soft collars (at the neck and arms) with a little slack so you don't have to deal with the grumpy kids saying its tight on the neck and arms while trying to put it on or take it off.

It also has two front pockets.. One is stars and stripes as you see in the picture above and the other is a blue shimmery sky and yellow stars.

(baby brother had to take a peek too)

It also features a front hook for the kiddos paint brush as well as a back hanging hook for easy storage or to hang dry (or hang in the tub because they lathered it in paint lol). Machine washable and tumble dry.
They come in size X-Small, Small, Medium and Large.
Price is $24.95

$5 FLAT RATE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS!!

Guest page features 25% off your new customer order and periodically a FREE contest to win some goodies..

AFFORDABLE EYE GLASSES- Yes, even for you!

Glasses, Glasses, Glasses...

I don't wear them but I know a few who do (majority of my my whole family, fingers crossed, knocking wood). My kids dad wears glasses. We bought his last year from a popular department store vision center, a silver stainless steel frame, rectangular (almost, rounded edges) frames and no extras... $45 RX, TOTAL =  $300.......................

SO NOT UNDER BUDGET, OR EVEN CLOSE!!

Having three kids this is not a good amount to spend on anyone item that keeps getting knocked around! So, we have been searching trying to find a good contact lense discount, lasik surgery discount or even the back-to-basic regular ol' glasses. NO LUCK!!

UNTIL.................................

YES!!!!! Glasses starting at $8 (depending on RX and your requests). When ordering his $21.85 pair of  glasses it totally did not seem real! This is a scam, it's a fake.. OR SO WE THOUGHT!
We found his same pair of glasses  (featured above) for less than $22 (TOTAL,Yes, shipping, taxes etc!) $288 SAVINGS

Just about anyone can manage to save up $25 for some glasses.. SO AMEN TO THAT!
We have not received them in the mail yet (only 3 days ago) but I can definately vouch this is a legit source.. I know 10 + people who have purchased all kinds of frames, with all kinds of RX and they were all right around $25 and looked just as pictured!

Check it out.. Tell us what you ordered!

Cosmetic Tattoos- TO DO OR NOT TO DO

Have you ever had cosmetic Tattoos? Thought about it?

I really wanna hear from you!
Yes, I am thinking about getting a cosmetic tattoo..  Permanent eyeliner to be exact... I am a natural blonde (hair has grown to be darker after kiddos) and my eyelashes are fairly short and light, as well as my eye brows. I feel like I'm in a scary movie when I check myself out in the mirror with out eyeliner and/or mascara. I am not much of a makeup person and with 3 kiddos 4 and under I don't have much time anyway.. So my thought is to get a fairly thin top eyeliner  permanent makeup tattoo to help me out in my scary movie attraction and mommy blues..

I spoke to a local tattoo shop, (great portfolio, really starile and I trust him- just so you know) and it will be about $60-$80..  Not so bad, more than I would like to spend but its permanent and longer lasting results with out the "pain and suffering" of make up trials and tribulations.

So, tell me what you think. I'm really nervous but right on the edge of saying im all in. I hear it takes 4-6 weeks to completely heal. That's the uncool part...

LET ME HEAR IT LADIES!

Freebies & Hand-me-down's

WHO DOESN'T LOVE FREEBIES AND HAND-ME-DOWN'S??
I do know that some people either don't (as crazy as that sounds) like freebies/hand-me-downs and/or how to get them but I'm here to tell you all about it!

Freebies don't always consist of just the FREE sticker from the dentist, or the FREE samples at the store! The source you have used to find me is the same source you use to get all kinds of freebies!
THE INTERNET! Amen to that because it's my guide in life lol.. ;)

I am a full-time stay at home mom of 3 kiddos.. Started out young and although I am GOOD with my money , it just doesn't always stretch to get the things you need or even some of the basics that you want...

So, through trials and tribulations... I found, drum roll please

Freecycle is the source for finding my BROYHILL his & hers dresser, with double mirrors, two night stands and a REAL crystal lamp!! CAN WE SAY WOOHHOOOOOOOOOO

This came at the perfect time for my family too.. I just found out I was expecting my third child and they would be sharing rooms...  So this was excellent and it was picked up in one stop, one place!!
Those of you who don't know Broyhill is very well built and EXPENSIVE.

The concept of this site is to recycle and offer your unwanted items for FREE...
This site is very easy to use.. On the main page you just type in your city and state, click go and it will find a group near you or you can browse groups as well!  They also have a few FREECYCLE products (bags, cups, t-shirts) in their store.  Check it out, because I promise you, you WILL LOVE IT!

Craigslist is a big directory not only for freebies and hand-me-down's but other great community resources and job sources as well..

Now, Craigslist, I can not list enough of what I have gotten here..
Excellent condition clothing, carseat, high chair, maternity clothes, double stroller  - one stop- FREE
I have also gotten toys, movies, games a table and more.. As well as very well priced items!!

Ofcourse in order to keep the great cycle  of giving going. I have offered up my fair share of freebies too!!
This site is easy to use as well. Select your state on the right... Then you can filter by city at the top... Within the main part of the site you will find categories such as community, forsale  (this is also where free is) jobs and more!

GREAT RESOURCE!!

A new-age resource is bloggers sites as well. Many bloggers will list freebies, giveaways, contests and other great resources.. So check out these bloggers..
